I don't feel well

I like parties, but not with Ralph Nader. This is quite funny stuff.

the show with zefrank - 06-06-06

The war of the hoses

Wild Willys got wild last night. You could say that some people became very moist from the excitement. Led beat me to the punch posting about it. But one thing he did not mention is that before the truce, there was aprox. eight gallons of water & ice waiting to be dispensed in a "Weapons of Mass Destruction" style of way.

All the same, the web cam may have been off, but the good Doctor S. managed some documentation of the war zone casualties.

Be forewarned, the following images may not be suitable for viewing by young Australian mammals, nor any penguins.

AOL Cancellation

This wasn't as bad as what I & several friends had to go through. We all just either did a "Do Not Pay", canceled the billing account, or expired the card being used.

The person that recorded this is quoted as:

Sometimes we pay for a service which we no longer use simply because we haven’t had the time, or energy to cancel it. Here is a recording of a phone call made by an AOL user trying to cancel his AOL account, which he was no longer using.

Listening to this recording will actually make you angry. It’s so ridiculous that I am doubting the authenticity of this call.

DO NOT LET AOL TAKE OVER YOUR SYSTEM!

And yet more squirrel lore

I don't think this is right. The little furry things should be allowed to be free wherever they may roam.

Gardener facing prosecution - for releasing squirrels into the woods

just trying to help

I found several links to info dealing with cervical cancer. And how the FDA approved a treatment to help out.

I sent an email with the links to a close friend that had to deal with this, and she recently got told that she might have another csyst [sp] & should go in & get a biopsy Monday.
Along with the links, I stated that if she should wuss out about going in, "...Remember I have 4" wide load straps, I will make damn sure that you get there. . . . Don't make me haul you in like a deer kill strapped to my hood."

I also text msg'd her to "check your email..."

five minutes later I get a phone call on my cell with her name in the CID display.

I answered and "who is this?" was the first thing I heard.

OK. It was a text msg. just to let her know about the email. IT HAS MY FUCKING NAME & NUMBER ON THE DISPLAY!!!!!

And for a "straight, sober, and off the horse [former heroine addict]", to call back & sound like she is coming off of a MAJOR buzz. And that I had to repeat my name. What do you think?

I care for many of my friends.

At times, too much. As well as for the kids, families, & others of my friends & people that I 'just know'. That is how I was brought up.

BUT

Right now, as far as I am concerned.

She can go off & fuck herself.

I know that is not something that my creed & belief system could work with, nor, approve of. And I will suffer the thrice thing.

But right now, at this point of time. I cannot express how fucking pissed off I am, and how let down & disappointed by someone that I let into my life.

Blessed Be all, even if you are a dumb twunt.

I still have some optimism though.

It has taken me over four hours to get this out, cut, proofed, reposted. Right now it is just shy of 0930.

And I do not know if I am more torqued about her actions, or angry at myself for getting so wound up.

I had a happier life for 7.5 years being single.

Well they did say it is designed as a "Green Building"

I was sitting @ my favourite pub & this news story came up on the television. Many of you around SFSD have noticed while driving the crosstown, [10th/12th streets], the building accross from Sid's. Well it is the new annex to the Federal courthouse.

And they found ditchweed pot growing outside of it. Read on...

Hey Buddy, can I get some matches?

I think this would be the greatest thing to give to bar patrons when they have had a few too many.

Look at the photo & figure out what is wrong.

I think the people in Jaffrey, NH have been lighting up the product more than they should.

Whew, that was close! I'll need more Panexa

We squeeked by yet another doomsday panic of the omen attack.

In the meantime, check out this comercial for Panexa.

The people @ Stay Free! Daily got me hooked on the stuff & I just can't get enough of it.

And in honour of the world still being safe, [aside from what G.W.B. might be doing right now], I think everyone should go & get refreshments @ Willys.

Dr. S. precribes that to you.

6.6.6 @ 6pm

In five minutes the world will end. . . .

For that I say good by. . . . .

And if it doesn't happen . . . .

Come up to Willys & have a drink on the patio to rejoice that we have not been slain by some ruthless uncaring being.

The path is narrow . . .The way is blocked

Umm, as I was proofing that last post, & I had the tv running in the backround. There is some pseudo-christian dipshit twunt Karen Hayes.

Her problem is that she lives across from a former church, err sorry, "christian church", that was put up for sale.

Her beef, and the broadcast program that was spewing this tripe is:
"This was a christian house of god. We refuse to let those Muslims desecrate {sp} that building with what they do..."

I'm sorry, a house of worship . . . . . .no. yup .. . . . IS A BUILDING!!!!

Unless I am mistaken, anywhere you worship is considered a house of god. Whomever you may choose.
It could be a public center. it could be someones backyard, garage, or state/county park campsite
For some sects, the building must be consecrated in some ritualistic form.

But that I leave to the cat a holics, mor[r not m]ons, and who ever the hell can figure out how to get through to the el ron brain trust? I really want to know so that there could be a tom & john movie where they do the stunts by themselves.

I'm thinking 30,000 ft parachute drop. Over the Antartic, and both 'chutes fail for both of them. 18 cameras rolling, "they did all of the stunts" As two big red blotches show up on GoogleEarth . . . . This might finally get the whole bullshit over & done with 'scientology'

In this case, IT WAS A FUCKING BUILDING FOR SALE!
No pope. No Yawahh. No Allah. And defiantly no jesus.

I know for a fact that jesus is in prison. Why do you think every prison inmate up for parole has met him? [think about it, eh?]

All the same, thanks to Karen, these people are pissed that a "church" may become a "mosque".

My take is, "What the fu{[ is the difference? It is a place of united worship, and if whatever you concider to be the {higher being} actually gives a care.":
She/he will let you fight for a while,
She/he might let you know that everyone in one way, or form, is talking to the same person,
She/he will not let you live, no matter what if decided, even Walt Disney could not escape,

She/he is what we all breathe, eat, and at times, take a good nap on a hillside to wakeup smiling. So, Mother Earth, jesus. Budda, Allah, not even going into the Norsk, & Greek stuff, Et. Al.

Who really is to know that it might be the same thing[s]

Blessed Be all, And follow your path.

I just ask that those that are "christians" be more tolorent of religions that out populate you by a 30+:1 ratio

Dr. S.

I did not think about polka fans

When I got to work today. [yesterday, I forgot to post while I was there]
I carded in, made sure that the door was closed behind me, & proceeded down the south hall of the Pavilion.
I then walked past an elder couple.
.
He was wearing a bright red shirt with BRIGHT silly assed stripes going vertical. As I got closer, he also had a diagonal [8" wide] repeating pattern of guitars.

As I got closer I noticed that the woman was wearing a skirt fluffy enough to make the Sta-puffed marshmallow man embarrassed, that matched, shirt that matched, and socks that matched his boots.

I forgot that square-dancers can be more intensilly, [...silly on purpose], about what they wear.

I find it odd than my nephew, Tom, & his thrasher/boarding buddies as teens, do not look anyway near as goofy as some that are of the age of grandparents. [Tom had multicoloured hair for years].

Tom & his buds can goto a moshpit with what ever clothing, the most ghastly crap stuck into the body, and have the most odd of hair cut or colour.

But the thing is, and I will not say that I am sorry about my last post, I will never dress in a polka outfit like that.

POLKA DANCERS LOOK LIKE DORKS!
PLAIN & SIMPLE

IF YOU FEEL LIKE DRESSING THAT WAY

KEEP IT IN THE CLOSET. [so to speak]

"You wonder why people outside of South Dakota laugh at you the way that they do?
IT IS BECAUSE THE OF WAY YOU ARE DRESSED!

And because all gays everywhere else in the world dress that way."

[Bobcat Golthwait, USD, Vermillion concert]

Blessed Be, Dr. S.

And PLEASE do not EVER line dance to 'Jenny Jenny/867-5309'.
If you do, I will find you. I have friends in York, PA. that would be more than happy come back to S.D. to bitch slap you for being a cuntry music lemming.

Time to check your polka outfit.

I don't know about many of you as visitors to the domain of my odd things. But Ministry has been not a mainstay of mine, it has been inspiration. Like Led & his Perl Jam, I have a few groups that I will buy a disc, [today terms for what used to be called a record, LP, 45 single].

Ministry, New Order, Art of Noise, et al, were groups that I would listen to for various reasons, at various times, in various moods.

For what ever reasons, Al Jourgensen says that Ministry will no longer be after the next album. [again, referring to actual music media]

I hope that Al gets together with some others & continue the type of sound & vibe that has gotten myself & others though some serious shit in serious times.

The story is below.

DON'T BLOG AFTER 4am redeux

BEING ZILLY Oh crap I just found out that the people still looking for Jimmy Hoffa think that they know where he is.

unfortunately, I was in the bathroom

but still, I really hope that I don't have to EVER be in the place of Kimberly Dozier.

Actually I would love to be doing what she is doing. I really hope that she comes through the incident of the car bomb that killed the camera & sound guys. Blessed Be both of them. But all the same, if I were to get sent out as a shooter, or squeak, Kim would be someone I could trust not to go into a WTF situation.

Things happen though. And as morbid as it sounds, I hope tape was rolling.

Blessed Be, and give a Vet a big hug when you can.

Dr, S.

UPDATE: Kimberly Dozier is back stateside. Still some time, pins, rods, & other things to happen for her legs, but she seems to be doing good & cracking jokes.

It seems that she can recall sound of the bomb going off. And when she was able to ask about the other two, [cameraman, & soundman], on the assignment, she simply closed her eyes as to comprehend finding out that they had died.

Again I say: If I ever get a chance to be a shooter or squeak [cameraman or soundman],

There are very few people I would go into situations like Kimberly Dozier and have full trust that what we are doing is gold.

For those that drink Rolling Rock - A plea to save Latrobe's brewery

I used to drink Rolling Rock beer.

And now that Anheuser-Busch bought them out, they want to close down the brewery in Latrobe, PA. This type of action WILL directly change not only the taste of the beer due to different brewing processes, but will ruin the lives of everyone that works or is affiliated with the Latrobe company. The link below explains the situation. And will give you the chance to sign an on line petition to be sent to the Anheuser-Busch upper muckity mucks. Check it out & sign it. If not for the people of Latrobe, PA, or as to support the stand of "the little guys" against "the man".

Do it for your fellow beer drinkers.

Blessed Be, [and don't forget to ice the cooler]

So what really did happen to flight 77 on 9.11.01?

I am not a 'conspiracy theory whack-job' about 9/11. Matter of fact after 4.5 years, "just let go of it & move on...", was my stand on the whole situation. What happened on that morning changed every American forever. Even here in SF, it directly effected those of us that day doing a "preset" for a dance company that was to perform the next day.

As I went to work that morning the radio in my truck kept talking about something happening with airplanes, and that was it for info. As I walked up to the other stagehands in the loading dock I asked "what the hell is going on, what the fuck happened?" Only then did I find out about the four airliners that were hijacked, at that time no one knew anything more.

As we got on to working on setting lights, sound, & laying marley dance floor, the day went on as normal until we heard that all air traffic had been grounded, then of the first tower being hit.

None of us could speak or move. We all just froze then went into a slow motion move to find the floor or comfy place to sit. "this cannot be happening..." was all that I could think.

It was decided that even though it had not been two hours, we all needed to go out & have a smoke.

After the pre-emptive break, we continued to work. But not without odd dark feelings of what had happened, lurking in the back of our heads.

Several hours later we found out that the show had been called, due to the Tech. Director & several others were stuck in the panhandle of Nebraska. And several of the dancers stranded in Hawaii, the other members just stranded here & there across the nation due to the grounding of anything that flew.

So after getting cut from work since the road-crew can not show up that afternoon, I went to my favorite pub. I walked in & the first thing I saw was the second plane plowing through tower #2.
I could not move for almost five minutes as I was paralyzed, staring at was on the big screen TV in disbelief.
.
Later on, to add to the shock. After the towers collapsed, I saw the nose end of one of the ladder trucks destroyed in the mess with a Snoopy on the front.

Right then I totally lost it.

Many of you know I have a thing for firetrucks. I almost bought one a couple years ago.

But when I lived in NYC, I would be walking to work in the Broadway district. There was a fire station that I got to know the guys on the crew.
It was a ladder company, and they had a Snoopy on the front of the ladder truck unit.

I knew these guys. And seeing that truck again really hit me hard. It would have been better if I saw it on a news show feature, or Letterman, you know, in a positive way, but not this.
Seeing that ladder truck, covered in rubble hit me really hard. Still does, and probably will for a long time.

So anyway. . . Back to why I am writing right now:

I saw something tonight that changed my stand of just let go & move on. It was a video of pretty solid facts about how there is no way that a Boeing 757 like flight 77's model could possibly be the cause of what happened at the Pentagon.

Before the video, <{-GO HERE-}>, to read the story if you want to.
I recommend doing so.

The video is currently being shown at Cannes Film Festival. It is called Pentagon Strike, and, like I said earlier, it makes its points, and does it very solid & very well. Also check out the various commentary links.

Blessed Be.

Just consider how much your world can change in less than a second.
And there is nothing you can do.

Then consider how much our lives have changed since 9/11.
And there is everything we can do.

SPORE - This game will ROCK!

I saw a vid of the demo that Will Wright did @ E3 <{[CLICK]}>
{warning, it is very long aprox. 30+ min.}, But this is so freeking cool.

I cannot wait until next April.

Those of you that may remember programing the game life in BASIC, will remember that you have to pick & choose where the lifeforms start, hit return, & then see how the screen colonizes, or dies.

This is the same game, 20 years later, on steroids. And with graphics that will give the least likely game player a certain feeling in that 'special place'. It is a TOTAL evolution in more ways than one.

And even if you do not like playing games on your 'puter, you have to at least check out the shockwave intro to the site below.

Life sucks, then it blows. and then . . . .

I got off of nine days of hell. I expected to have a day to myself. That did not happen.

I am sorry that I cannot fill up expectations of what some people think that I can.
I am sorry that I will not budge from the opinions & belief's that I have.
I am sorry that I cannot be a "responsible human being" for shit that happened that I have no control over.

But actually I feel for all of the things & people that I come across. I listen, I empathize, I can relate. Be it friend, stranger, or someone that I truly fucking hate.

I care.
I do not know why, but I do.

But, if I say "shut the fuck up!" That means that you should go lay down by your bowl bitch.

Please don't take it personal. But unlike House, Dr. Ruth, and oprah & springer.

I am not a 24/7 dump shit on to sort out what is going on. I have some shit myself lately to sort out that has fucked my world up down sideways, and with no lube.

AND I NEED SOME FREAKING SLEEP!
I tried to goto bed around 4am & the fucking phone rings, then 2 hours later again, repeat & rinse twice, this has lost it;s cuteness, then again about 90 min ago,

I don't know right now which is a better song, The Boxer, or Atomic Dog

I need the funk, and not the one I have right now

Blessed Be, Dr S.

German sues Easter Bunny

{this is an actual news story}

A German man has taken legal action against the Easter Bunny for grievous bodily harm.

Karl-Friedrich Lentze, from Berlin, has filed a complaint with prosecutors, accusing it of causing addiction to chocolate which leads to heart attacks, obesity and strokes.

Lentze said: "The Easter Bunny is a sadistic and unscrupulous offender who preys on people's sweet tooth.

"Find this evil bunny, handcuff his paws and remove him from shops in time for Easter."

Public prosecutor spokesman Christian Avenarius said: "We will act upon the complaint with speed and diligence."

Again, I am an uncle.

After many days, months, etc. I have become an honorary 'Uncle' yet again.

This time is different though. This one is not an animal, {or at least for the next 13 years}.

My good friends Rob & Angie Huber had a nine pound, three ounce baby boy yesterday @ 2:08.

I couldn't get back to them when I got Rob's vox msg. I guess that the phone is off right now due to the "relax time" & they are doing what many nubee parents do by taking a rest & gathering their wits after such an experience.

I wish them well, as I hope many of you do too.

Ban on abortion mocks human dignity

I found this & if I wasn't embarrassed about being from South Dakota before, I am now. This abortion ban is a plain stupid law made by people that think that women are too stupid to make an EXTREMELY personal decision themselves.

I'm sorry, I am pro-choice, and I have no doubts that my wife, girlfriend, mother or daughter, would have a better insight on the situation than some 61 year old man on capitol hill.

One thing these "do gooders of the moralality" do not realize is that unwanted pregnancy is called that for a reason.

IT IS NOT WANTED!

They claim that there are people out there wanting to adopt. Yes, that is true as long as the child is a healthy caucasian & not older than a few months.

An acquaintance of mine from college got pregnant & chose to goto the Alpha Center to find out her options. They talked her out of having an abortion. They claimed to have a couple waiting to adopt her child when she came to term. The Alpha Center for those not knowing is a place the "councils" women, and is just a grey-line away from black market baby trading. They have been investigated many times & somehow {read big money}, always get out of trouble. ANYWAY . . . After being told that her medical bills would be paid throughout the term when she gave birth.

It was not a white kid. And she got stuck with the remaining amount of bills, and a child that she could not at the time, & last time I saw her still barely, can support.

Movie Reviews of 2006 #32 - SCARY MOVIE 4

OK. It is another sequel in a chain of sequels making fun of movies & their sequels.
.
.
But it is still damn funny!
We went into the theatre with the low brow expectations of the previous Scary Movies, and soon were giggling, then laughing, and finally out loud going out loud burst out enjoying ourselves.

If you want to spend a few hours enjoying a movie instead of getting brow beaten with intellectual crap that will make you feel like the world & yourself are dirty scum. This movie is for you. The fun in this movie is that it takes & twists all of the silly lame-assed "horror" movies, makes fun of them all, and still maintains a semi-semblance of a plot line.

I know I have said this before, and I will most likely say this many times over after seeing the summer lineup.

HOLLYWOOD CANNOT MAKE GOOD HORROR ANYMORE!

Most likely is the fact that they are based is Kalifornia, the land that made P.C. not a reference to computers, but how to be the least offensive to anyone & everyone that you might possibly come in contact with.

But that will be a rant for later.

This movie makes fun of the crap dealt out to us as scary movies that were actually so dull that I & others have fallen asleep several times. {I'm sorry Wolf Creek sucked the pus out of inflamed dingo boils}, I fell asleep several times on that one because IT LOOKED LIKE A FUCKING HOME VIDEO OF A ROAD TRIP, THEN TURNED INTO A BAD FRESHMAN FILM STUDIES PROJECT!!!!!!!!

Just do not buy the DVD that came out on that one. If you do, make sure you can re-gift it to someone you do not like. It is that bad.

But back to Scary Movie 4. Go See it. You won't regret it.

But save a snooch to see CLERKS 2, Jay & Silent Bob take on Moobie.

$tarbuck$ part two

These people are bullies.

Plain & simple,

IT IS HER F~<{ING NAME!

Blessed Be, & get better dirty water from someplace that cares about you.

I still do not drink coffee

I read this & could only think of a scene from The Fisher King where Robin Williams walked the woman of his dreams home.

They got to her house & she went off on a diatribe of things that would or could happen if he came into her flat. He replied with many counterpoints to her argument finishing with "I still don't drink coffee"

That & I just plain dislike coffee, & think the whole trendy viral explosion of coffee houses is just plain stupid. $7 for a cup of dirty stink water is friggin' idiotic. But Starbucks has become a smelly gorilla of the marketplace slinging poo wherever they go.

And like Kong, have a realy shitty attitude about anyone that could be a possible threat.

The Meter Maid is now waterproof

I had to work one of the most pain-in-the-assed shows yesterday @ the Pavilion. I showed up for the sound check / tech rehearsal @ noon & parked @ a meter for five reasons:
  1. I left for work & smelled the air & knew it was about to rain
  2. I normally park on the other side of Minn. Ave because it is free
  3. I did not want to to to haul ass in a downpour to where I normally park
  4. I had Duffy {my laptop} with me. [see #2]
  5. I did not think I would be there for more than an hour
So after plugging the little gray minion of revenue for 2 hours of time, {SIDEBAR: If you goto the Washington Pavilion, park on the north west side by the loading docks, they have a four hour time limit}, thinking I would be there MAYBE 90 minutes, I went to work.

While dealing with music that sounded like it was recorded on a Close-N-Play, we had a rainburst that we could hear in the "sound proof" Great Hall that lasted forever. After 3.5 hours I was able to go out to plug the meter, & found a little yellow $5.00 present soaking on my windshield.

Normally I would not be surprised about it since I was there longer than payed for, but this is different. Normally when it is storming outside, the meter mavens gather indoors @ the old parking ramp & wait it out. So during those times you normally can get away without dumping coin into the little bastards. But after carefully drying out the envelope & ticket I discovered that it was written during the worst of the downpour.

I guess my question is:
Since when did the city get a rainproof Rita?

I got woke up by the phone ringing. Wrong number so I figured turn the tv on & catch the start of the NASCAR race @ Bristol. The pre race show was lame so I flipped through the channels & came across one of the worst movies on the WB {the way bad network}, titled

Deadly Heroes

It was so bad that I could not help but go back to channel 36 to see what stupid assed crap would happen next. I don't know right now if I would like to meet the people involved with this movie & buy them a beer, or slap the living shit out of them for being involved with a production like this.

It was either a lame attempt at making an action movie, or a REAL funny spoof of action movies.

watch it & make your decision.

In the mean time, it's fun to see 43 cars going really fast on a 1/2 mile track.

People don't goto watch the racing there, they goto see the cars get hurt.

Blessed Be, Dr. S.

losing a friend

I was surfing the net last night & got an email that a dog that I have taken care of several times by dog sitting is going to get put down today due to illness.

Bear will be missed. Not just by his owners, but others that also had the good luck to take care of him as well.

Some say that dogs are companions, oblivious to what is going on around them.

After losing my own dog Heidi, I learned that they know much more than humans could ever conceive. Dogs are some of the best friends & true to the people that they know. They are not dumb. They just play that way to lull you in. Then the next thing you know, you wake up with a giant mass of fur next to you wanting your attention.

And you give it.

Not because you have to, because you want to.

Good bye Bear, I'll keep a treat for you.

Dr. S.

Update: 5:12 3/24 - I had a chance to say good bye to Bear about a half hour ago. He did not look good. I don't know wether I cried because I could see how bad off he was, or because I knew that was the last time I would see him. But I did cry. I gave him a couple of those 50 cent little smokies beef sticks, {which he loves}, scratched his back, & gave him a big hug.

Ya' know for being in my 40's, there still are moments when I feel like a kid.

The lizard has now become a SeaMonkey

The Goddess, God, and various other minions of open source have released the SeaMonkey.

I find that the people @ Mozilla.org have a sense of humour. They, like many of us that are pioneers in the industry of "the 'net" and/or love to do things to make the world play nice with each other are cool dudes & dudettes.

Many of you that frequent this place of the floating mind know that I hate the MS IE.* browsers. I used Netscape until the gobbling of AOL, then went to Mozilla since they were the ones that developed the "browser".

I actually remember that everything on the internet was text. Even the pictures had to be run through some sort of app. that took bin code & somehow made it an image.

Now people piss & moan that they cannot get the Paris Hilton vid.

Rant over.

Just check out SeaMonkey. Trust me, you will not get the crap that they talk about in the back of comic books. You will get a damn good browser suite that has the stuff to body slam Bill G. into the ropes.

Almost like Cactus Jack.

Blessed Be.

Movie review #30 - THIS MOVIE IS NOT YET RATED

Yes, I know it has been a while since I did the movie review thing, but I was impressed.
And as I watch various crap from the pablum approved from the MPAA to which there is a willy nilly way of grading what Americans can, and cannot watch,

I am really nauseous.

This Movie Is Not Yet Rated is something I think every movie-goer should see. It makes a good point of how arbitrary the MPAA rating system is, and how that noone knows who these people are that make these decisions.

It also bring a good point of how Indie films when being rated get a generic response on how to improve the movies rating by what to cut.

While 'studio backed' films get a very specific list of what to edit out to improve the standing.

The MPAA rating is totally arbitrary, the ratings group are supposed to be parents of teens & preteens, but majority of them are:
  • Divorced with no custody
  • Divorced with NO children
  • Have no children to begin with
  • Or, they have kids. But they are in their 20's & 30's
And these are the people that decide what is a go or no-go for your teens or pre-teens from the high throne of morality.

So, in closing, I highly recommend that if you enjoy movies, you watch this film.

And if you cannot find a copy, I will burn you one. [read big double middle fingers to the aforementioned Illuminati-istic group.

Bush Causes the Repossesion of America

From John Cleese

To the citizens of the United States of America:

In light of your failure to elect a competent President of the USA and thus to govern yourselves, e hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately. Her Sovereign Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths, and territories (excepting Kansas, which she does not fancy).

Your new prime minister, Tony Blair, will appoint a governor for America without the need for further elections.

Congress and the Senate will be disbanded. A questionnaire may be circulated next year to determine whether any of you noticed. To aid in the transition to a British Crown dependency, the following rules are introduced with immediate effect:

You should look up "revocation" in the Oxford English Dictionary. Then look up "aluminium," and check the pronunciation guide. You will be amazed at just how wrongly you have been pronouncing it. The letter 'U' will be reinstated in words such as "favour" and "neighbour."

Likewise, you will learn to spell "doughnut" without skipping half the letters, and the suffix -ize will be replaced by the suffix -ise.

Generally, you will be expected to raise your vocabulary to acceptable levels. (Look up vocabulary.") Using the same twenty-seven words interspersed with filler noises such as "like" and "you know" is an unacceptable and inefficient form of communication. There is no
such thing as US English. We will let Microsoft know on your behalf.

The Microsoft spell-checker will be adjusted to take account of the reinstated letter 'u' and the elimination of -ize. You will relearn your original national anthem, "God Save The Queen".

July 4th will no longer be celebrated as a holiday.

You will learn to resolve personal issues without using guns, lawyers, or therapists. The fact that you need so many lawyers and therapists shows that you're not adult enough to be independent. Guns should only be handled by adults. If you're not adult enough to sort things out without suing someone or speaking to a therapist, then you're not grown up enough to handle a gun.
Therefore, you will no longer be allowed to own or carry anything more dangerous than a vegetable peeler. A permit will be required if you wish to carry a vegetable peeler in public.

All American cars are hereby banned. They are crap, and this is for your own good. When we show you German cars, you will understand what we mean.

All intersections will be replaced with roundabouts, and you will start driving on the left with immediate effect. At the same time, you will go metric with immediate effect and without the benefit of conversion tables. Both roundabouts and metrication will help you understand the British sense of humour.

The Former USA will adopt UK prices on petrol (which you have been calling gasoline)--roughly $6/US gallon. Get used to it.

You will learn to make real chips. Those things you call French fries are not real chips, and those things you insist on calling potato chips are properly called crisps. Real chips are thick cut, fried in animal fat, and dressed not with catsup but with vinegar.

The cold tasteless stuff you insist on calling beer is not actually beer at all. Henceforth, only proper British Bitter will be referred to as beer, and European brews of known and accepted provenance will be referred to as Lager. American brands will be referred to as Near-Frozen Gnat's Urine, so that all can be sold without risk of further confusion.

Hollywood will be required occasionally to cast English actors as good guys. Hollywood will also be required to cast English actors to play English characters. Watching Andie MacDowell attempt English dialogue in "Four Weddings and a Funeral" was an experience akin to having one's ears removed with a cheese grater.

You will cease playing American football. There is only one kind of proper football; you call it soccer. Those of you brave enough will, in time, be allowed to play rugby, which has some similarities to American football, but does not involve stopping for a rest every twenty seconds or wearing full body armour like a bunch of nancies.

Further, you will stop playing baseball. It is not reasonable to host an event called the World Series for a game which is not played outside of America. Since only 2.1% of you are aware that there is a world beyond your borders, your error is understandable.

You must tell us who killed JFK. It's been driving us mad.

An internal revenue agent (i.e., tax collector) from Her Majesty's Government will be with you shortly to ensure the acquisition of all monies due (backdated to 1776).

Thank you for your cooperation.

I just got home & was watching CBS while my VTR rewinds when this story came up.

<{click the story below}>

Furor Over Targeting Of Liberal Profs

Now, I consider this as a total affront to the whole university learning system.

So I sit in a poly-sci. class & have to listen & study under a prof. that has a total 180 degree opinion of what I believe in. I can make $100 recording & gathering evidence of this instructors skewed view of life as I see it, mien furor posts it on the 'net, and wham bam thank ya' mam, this person is out of a job.

No tenure, no severance, no reference, and no career afterwards.

Just because of some pigheaded bastard did not agree with them.

Am I wrong in opinion that going to college is supposed to be a learning experience? Are not students expected to learn from discovery? And is not discovery one of the things that comes from finding something that you question, challenging it, and then finding out what is truth and/or bullshit after delving into the challenge & reaching opinion. It is called using independent thought.

THAT, MY FRIENDS, IS HOW YOU LEARN.

I scares me that some disgruntled rightwing twat of a loser is offering a bounty for turning in the instructors @ UCLA for "liberal thinking & liberal actions". WTF!!! Did I fall asleep last night & Sen. McCarthy was cross cloned with Hitler?

Most of you out there know if Timothy Leary, the Chicago Seven, or other liberal factions tried this, all hell would break loose & there would be wire taps, swat teams, and a butt load legal problems / jail time just for mentioning something remotely like this.

As a former educator {grad school}, it is appalling that anyone could do this. Then again up until a few weeks ago we all thought that people could not record phone calls without consent.

Actually I am more than scared. I am disappointed, disgusted, torqued off, confused, and severely aghast of how something like this could be allowed to happen.

And this is supposed to be the land of the free, the land of open acceptance, the land of open minds,

The land that shall not oppress.

Blessed be all, and please try to be nice to each other.

Movie Reviews of 2006 #29 - CASANOVA

WOW! What a shockingly good surprise of a movie.

We choose to watch this over another movie that was PG-13, and we definitely made the right choice. From the posters, trailers, and other pre-release media, it was expected to be a semi-chick-flick. We took this movie on for the sheer fact of the R rating even though is is a Buena-Vista {read the "adult" Disney} release. There wasn't any full nude scenes, no foul language, and not even an obligatory blood & gore scene. BUT IT IS STILL A DAMN FUN TIME!

As this is the story of the legend Casanova, this is sex, sex, & more sex. But it is all implied by reference & good cinematography & editing. This is not a chick-flick, but a damn well done film from the writing of the story & screenplay, down to almost every aspect of the finished product.

And it is funny, enjoyable, interesting, and as much as I hate the term, it is "riveting". I hate that term because it is used way too often in promotional materials. But I ran out of soda due to a popcorn induced drymouth, and I did not want to leave and possibly miss another good moment, hense - riveting.

The most impressive thing of Casanova is the writing of the story & how the various interweaving storylines revolved around each other and did not interfere & cause confusion. Had the people responsible for this movie did anything different, things would have become muddled & many in the audience would be whispering between themselves trying to find out what is going on. Instead everything is laid out in a very precise intricate way that the viewer is not distracted from what is on the screen, and thus fully enjoy the full story and comedy that ensues.

I could go on, but in summary this says it best:

"This is a romantic comedy that made me cry.
I was crying because I was laughing so damn hard."

Jon B.

Try not to miss this one.

Welcome to the Gnu year.

After dealing with twirps, twips, and people nagging at me for the last few weeks "merry, happy, etc. {insert holiday here}", had left me with the want to snipe random cars from the top of my building.

I finally know & enjoy what a new year means. This was not intentional, but I am glad that I had the chance to enjoy the holiday season.

As I sit here at my favorite pub during our xmas party, I feel happy. Not from the beer. But from the people around me. Yes some of them are people that would not say 'BOO' to me any other day. But we all are hanging out, shareing food & drink, and plain out having fun togather.

I wish everyone could be this way every day to each other and not have an end of the year thing.

All I know right now is we are all living in peace, here, now, and in the moment.
Maybe some others in the world should take the hint.

Blessed Be, and "please be kind / rewind"

Movie Reviews of 2005 #28 - Wolf Creek

We were supposed to watch this movie Thursday night as it was supposed to come in along with other films that are opening this weekend. Minor flaw with that plan was that Technicolor somehow only gave the delivery company 2/5's of the reels of the movie. For me I think it is hard to miss a giant blaze orange steel box that weighs over 50 lbs., but that's just me.

So we got the second half of the movie last night, got ourselves pumped up to see a good blood & gore, hack 'em up, scary horror movie.

And ended up watching some fucking college kids vacation movie. After waiting & wanting to see a good terror movie, we discovered the "terror" must have been a typo for the word "terrible". Yes, there is blood & gore & stuff. BUT IT IS OVER AN HOUR/TEN INTO THE MOVIE!!!!
Hell, it took almost 15min. to get to the damn opening titles. It got to the point of boredom for all of us that when the violence actually started we so lulled by boredom, the gore did not register a single bit. To quote one of the comments on IMDB "...so achingly dull and borderline pointless that when it comes time for McLean [the director] to rev up his engine and start the mayhem, interest in any of this has evaporated."

The movie got over, the lights came up, and we all could not figure out how this movie ever got made & released to such accolades by the critics.

This is another case of W.T.F. are these assholes in hollywood thinking? This is not "THE MOST TERRIFYING MOVIE OF THE YEAR". Hell, it is nothing more than a very cheap, {read the whole thing looks like a sophomore filmschool project}, Aussie knock-off of Texas Chainsaw meets Blair Witch.

This is one of the most disappointing pseudo-horror bullshit films that have come out. The only saving grace is that they did not have the silly assed shot of the alarm clock stopping at 3:02 AM to forewarn danger is at hand like all of the other "horror" movies in the last year. This movie would not even qualify as one of those crappy Showtime exclusive special features.
Do not bother going to see this in the theatre, avoid the temptation to rent or buy the DVD {which I predict will come out sometime in Feb.}, instead see a really scary movie like Brokeback Mountain.

Blessed Be, & Merry Yule!

Movie Reviews of 2005 #27 - KING KONG aka Benny & the Jets

I would have done this earlier but, we did not get out until 4:15, I had to pick up my tools from tearing out & repairing both a toilet & a urinal, {the glamour of working in the theatre industry ya' know}, and my internet is being nauti.

King Kong is great! When the closing credits rolled it did not seem that we had been sitting & watching for over three hours. It is impressive from the start, and doesn't let you away from the what is happening until the end.

As many of you know this is a remake of a classic movie. For the rest of you that still may have water behind your ears, or do not realize that black & white movies were actually done that way not for "artistic reasons", but there was no other way to shoot the damn things, yes life was not in colour for a very, very, long time.
But all the same, with a new age, there is new vision.

And this vision for a remake of a classic movie is spot on. This is one of the extremely few remakes that holds up to the original, but makes it better justifying itself. And overall, one of two movies that I have seen in the last two years that lives up to the pre-release hype. NO, I am not getting soft & backing off on what I think in my reviews. Just stay away from Syriana, and see King Kong, hell, stay FAR away from Syriana, and watch paint dry for that matter. But I digress . . .
Following the story of King Kong, this movie is impressive with the flawless integration of modern technology to update the story, but still keep it in the 1930's New York setting. Many films drop all the money in FX & CGI in fantastical stuff that is the foreground as to keep your eyes on the screen. In the case of King Kong, there is a buttload of care taken to cover what is in the background, & then you have the impressive "blow you away" stuff on top of it.
There are very few things bad about this movie. And I know that it will be received very well by all that see it. And watching the trailers that we had before the movie, the first week of May will also be kick ass.

So go see it in the theatre, enjoy it in the theatre, and you will not regret it. Because once you see it on VHS or DVD,
you will wish you had seen it in a theatre.

Blessed Be, & enjoy the show

Dr. S.

OHH, I almost forgot. The reference to Benny & the Jets in the subject line:

Many popular movies have "code names" on the shipping packs. This is to prevent people from shagging off with a print, copying it, and making bootlegs. Or in some cases holding it for ransom. So the production companies send out the boxes with these oddball names on the cans.
DISCLAIMER: The code name for King Kong is not 'Benny & the Jets', I did not want to use the real one so not to be blamed for print thefts.

The actual code name is a totally "how the fu({ they come up with that?" thing that none of us can figure out the origin. But Benny & the Jets makes more sense.

May you all have a Merry Yule!

Movie Reviews of 2005 #26 - Syriana

Since we did not pay to see this movie we cannot ask for our money back.
BUT CAN WE GET TWO HOURS BACK FROM THE PEOPLE THAT MADE THIS PIECE OF SHIT!?!

Obviously there was a turkey left on the counter since Thanksgiving, because this one could feed a large extended family if it wasn't so rotten & smelly.
Many people "in the know" are singing praises & kudos about this film. I honestly think they all got paid off by the producers. Either that or someone laced the water supply with crack & LSD. IT IS BAD, REALLY BAD, REALLY BORING & BAD, and that is the best/kindest words uttered by anyone that came out of the screening this morning. Actually the kindest thing was "ZZZzzzz, uhmm, Oh it's over?" after we had to wake her up.

It is convoluted, confusing, disjointed, nothing what-so-ever tying the sub plots together until the last 10 minutes, AND DULLER THAN DIRT. Oh and did I mention that we all that it was bad? I thought George Clooney & Matt Damon had better taste in what shows to choose, but obviously not. Then again they may been on the crack & LSD water too.

The people responsible:
Produced by
Sarah Bradshaw .... associate producer
George Clooney .... executive producer
Ben Cosgrove .... executive producer
Jennifer Fox .... producer
Georgia Kacandes .... producer
Elizabeth Kirkscey .... associate producer
Shannon Lail .... associate producer
Michael Nozik .... producer
Jeff Skoll .... executive producer
Steven Soderbergh .... executive producer

These people should be taken out and bitch-slapped for misleading people into thinking that they are going to drop good money to see an action/political thriller. Matter of fact I know there are laws against deception of what you are selling & "bait & switch" scams.
Point blank, if you want to see this movie as an "action thriller". Save your money and just watch the commercial or trailer, because ALL of the action & thrills from the movie are there.

Syriana is the worst movie I have seen in a long time, {if not ever}, and everyone else at the screening felt the same. It was even more boring & crappy than Constant Gardener. At least that movie had great visual settings & locations. This movie on the otherhand was dull & drab looking at every location {and there were many}, that they shot at. Several of us noticed that someone must have gathered a shit-tonne of frequent flyer miles, maybe they can send those miles out to refund the two hours of my life lost to watching this & attempting to stay awake.

Do I even need to go into my rating scale on this one? I don't think so.

Blessed Be, & stay away from this flick

The Day The Music Died, 25 years later

In July of 1980 I had the honor of going to the 1980 Democratic convention as a page for the South Dakota delegation. My father was there also as a delegate. It was fun for me as I had a higher security clearance than the delegates, and I also was doing live reports back to a radio station that I worked at {am1520}, here in Sioux Falls.

I got my 15 minutes of fame when I tied several strings to a balloon & sent it up to the upper deck to get Amy Carters autograph & all three networks zoomed in on the secret service grabbing the balloon as a "disturbance near the Carter family...". I found out later I had several agents behind me on the floor of Madison Square ready to take me down. As the agent above me grabbed the note & read it, he leaned over & gave me the "ok sign" {it actually was to the agents behind me that I was not a threat}. He then passed the note down to Amy, she signed it & threw it back down, and then kept the balloon. Dammit, it was my balloon & I wanted to keep it! After turning around & realizing the guys in suits with guns I thought better to
let it be.
Which, in in odd segue, gets me back to why I am writing this post about John Lennon & his death.

During our stay in NYC, there were many gatherings, most that I could not goto due to my age. But there was one for both the North & South Dakota Delegations that was held not only at the Dakota Apartments, but next door to John & Yoko Ono.

As our group got off of the subway & made it across the street to the building, we all were in awe of its beauty. As we got closer & went into the entryway to get admitted I turned to my dad & said "You know for someplace that has this much money, this would be a great place to get mugged or something", while pointing at the empty little doormans vestibule.

Little did I know.

Fast forward five months to Dec. 8th 1980. I was typing a paper on my dads computer in the basement & listening to the radio when I heard the news of John Lennon being shot. I was stunned. Then thirty minutes later they announced that he had died. And the place he was killed at was in the entryway of the Dakota Apartments, exactly where I stood in July telling my dad about how someone could get jumped there.

A cold shiver went through my whole body & I could not do anything but stare at the wall for I don't know how long. I finally got back to my senses, printed my report, talked to my parents for a while, & went to bed.
The next morning I went to the radio station to do the talkshow that we had before school & found the drapes pulled on the big window facing Main Ave. Normally this is wide open so that people can look in on the FM studio & wave at the dj's, give them crap, request songs, etc. I went in to the AM side & saw the morning DJ for the FM station just sobbing.

Ginger is one of, if not the biggest Beatles fan I have ever met & probably ever will. And she is not a someone of fragile persona & at times could make sailors & marines blush. But she sat in the other studio totally broken.

I found out from the others that several people kept calling in with dedications like "hit me with your best shot" and other gun toting kind of songs & artists, and Ginger finally lost it. As I was affected by the situation in a totally different & creepy way, I thought it better that I did not try to say anything to her. A half hour into our show we saw in the other studio Ginger leave & our Gen. Mgr. took over the rest of her shift.

Twenty five years later, and it does not seem that long ago, I still think about the whole thing, me standing in that exact spot, and to a point, knowing something bad would happen.

I just didn't think it would end an era of one of the most influential musical groups, and songwriting teams in the genesis of what was rock & roll.

Movie Reviews of 2005 #25 - The Chronicles of Narnia

OK. I will start this off by stating that the self-righteous assholes out there that are raising a big stink about this movie, need to go & get a life that consists of more than playing RPG's on the internet in the parent's basement/attic, and finding hidden messages in the want ads.

THIS IS AN ALL OUT GREAT MOVIE! When the Disney opening logo came up & there was a dark screen I fell back in my seat thinking, "Oh crap, nine reels {2h:15m+} of smarmy touchy tripe from the rat-gods!". It is slow to get up & going & a very darkly imaged film at the start, and if you are not familiar with the story, or like me, have not read it in over thirty-two years, you will not know what the hell is going on. But as the film goes on, the exposition is not being stuffed down your throat and develops very nicely. And soon you find yourself in the story & following along with the characters as the story progresses.

ALSO, from the start you will notice the CGI & special effects are absolutely FREAKIN' FANTASTIC! {That is once you realize when it is being used}. The detailing is the best I have seen in a movie in years. And that includes the last star wars, Sin City, & other "super-hyper effect" movies. When a group walks through snow, they all left separate foot tracks, when the lion Aslan speaks to the others across a candle-lit table the flames move with his breath. Plain & simple, Harry Potter & the troll movies about hoarding rings can drop to the ground & kiss this movie's ass in production beauty & stunning effects.

When I left the theatre I knew I had seen a good movie. The more I have been thinking about it, I really like it. And it is something that the whole family will enjoy without any concern of offense, but less concern of going into a diabetic seizure from the standard Disney sugar coating that they normally force feed to us theatre goers as of the last few years.

Personally I think the movie is great, but I also think it could have been better if it had not been produced by the minions of Mike Eisner & co.

Go see this movie.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL ! !

So here we are again. Many are waiting to stuff things into dead birds, {though it might be a felony in some places}, watch the parade, eat, watch games on TV, eat some more, fall asleep on the couch, wakeup & eat some more again, watch replays of games you missed while passed out, and then go shopping.

For those of you that have as dismal life as I do. Here are a couple flash games to play while waiting for the bird to fry.

<{:- EASY TURKEY SHOOT -:}> - - I wish I could say this was mine.

And for those more adventurous & needing a better challenge:

<{:- HARDER TURKEY SHOOT -:}> - - This actually takes some skill

Happy Gobbilin' & don't freeze while waiting for the stores to open @ 5 a.m.

Movie Reviews of 2005 #24 - The Ice Harvest

Having Been given the choice of six movies that open here today "Wed. 11/23/05", of
Rent, In The Mix, Pride & Prejudice, Yours Mine & Ours, Just Friends, & The Ice Harvest, I ended up watching The Ice Harvest.

I have been involved in 2.5 productions of the musical, don't care to sit through 2 hours of {c}rap music, P&P just plain looked {and is} boring as hell, YM&O is purely rehashed Disney shit, and Just Friends just plain did not look funny. So I did not argue with the choice.

It is an interesting, odd, and dark comedy about a 'not so good goodfella', Charlie {played by John Cusack}, that ripped off his mobster thug type boss Bill Guerrard, {Randy Quaid}, that tries to control everything he can, {but not as despicable as Wild Bill}, for over $2.000.000 on christmas eve. Due to an ice storm, he and his partner in crime Vic, {Billy Bob Thornton}, decide to part ways for the night & head out the next morning. The body of the story focuses on the odd happenings that go on throughout the night.

Overall Ice Harvest was fairly interesting. Knowing Harold Ramis' past works we all were expecting some twisted humour & odd setups for the characters. However the only thing that really stuck in my mind and others was Charlie's sidekick buddy Pete played by Oliver Platt. He had some of the best screen stealing lines & actions in the whole movie as a totally piss-drunk dumb-ass that we all at one time have met, {or some have been}, that you cannot help but love the guy.

Despite many flaws that those of us that have actually lived through ice storms, and even more evident to those of us that ice/winter storms are a matter of life, such as:
  • There wasn't any ice glaze on any of the cars or what I like calling 4 wheeled ice cubes
  • You could not see anybodies breath
  • Cars going faster than 12 MPH will not turn on black ice
  • And many other things that anyone that has lived in the real midwest during the winter months know & live with, and absolutely hate.
We all had a good time during the movie.

If you have problems picking up on stupid one liners, odd things happening that don't pay off until later on, or don't enjoy following a dark comedy because you have to think.

This movie will not be for you. Just wait until it comes out on DVD with a booklet on how to understand, & closed captioning with commentary.

Otherwise, I think this might be one of those movies that you will goto see, then buy it & it manages to stay in the frequently played stack.

WHY WOMEN CUM, er COME IN, er TO SOUTH DAKOTA!

Look out women, we men here in South Dakota will lick you silly! This is a semi-serious survey done by the gays & dolls @ Men's Fitness & Shape magazines.
<{[ CLICK HERE ]}>
"Dakota's gals report receiving more oral sex than women in any other state. Maybe that's because Mount Rushmore guys have the greatest concern of all the men we surveyed over whether their partners reach orgasm or whether they truly feel satisfied at the end of a sexual encounter."

This explains why the women here have such big smiles?

Hairy pothead & forgetting his ticket

I was going to post this last night, {well for me, last night, for others it would be Friday morning}.

The expected onslaught of freaks for the midnight showing caused us to have people standing door for the midnight showing of the new Harry Potter movie. We had shows starting @ 12:01, 12:10, 12:20, & 12:30. People, {I use that term generously}, started showing up around 4pm, and were rather nice & easy to deal with compared to the Star Wars early shows.

I got called to make sure I was going to come in, and if "you were not planning on working on anything tonight...", so that I could stand door for the four shows.

I said what the heck, it gives me a chance to work without the threat of bodily harm, and I get to dress up! Little did I know. . . .

So, I showed up in full dress jacket, tie & slacks. Several of my co-workers did not recognize me since I did not have my standard baseball cap or denim shirt & jeans. I then found out that I had to stand door for the 1st showing.

Now Keep in mind here that THIS is the show that is the one everyone else wants to sneak into, sneak others into, and boast that they were the "first ones" to see the movie.

{little do they know, all four of the prints were watched almost 24 hours earlier by those of us that work at the theatre}.

So I say PPffffffffTTTT!!!! And I would taunt them again little wipers of other peoples bottoms!

ANYWAY: We opened the theatre for the 1st show right after the credits ended for the prior showing of Jarhead @ around 9:40 to seat "people" for the 12:01 showing of Harry Potter. BIG ASSED RUSH TO CLAIM SEATS. And each & every one of them were asked to see the ticket they had, and told to "KEEP THIS TICKET WITH YOU IN CASE YOU LEAVE THE THEATRE, YOU WILL NEED IT TO GET BACK IN".

How soon they forget. But when you have to sit in a theatre for 2.5 hours, most are going to want to pee, grab more food, or in the case of some highschool kids sneak out for
"A SMOKE".

After two hours they all got antsy & running in & out. Each & every time being asked "do you have your ticket so you can get back in?". And most of them went back in to grab their ticket, or someone else's, {wink wink wink, we do not give a smelly rats ass if it is YOUR ticket}.

So, back to the title of this post.

A group of eight semi-college aged people stumbled up to the door with their tickets at about 11:50. On the benefit of the doubt they all smoked Marlboro Lights, & they all got "that special blend that smells like something not tobacco....". Yeah Right.

So one of the group came running out of the theatre during the run of the trailers to get more popcorn. {mind you it has been about ten minutes, large bag of 'corn, and he is not sharing with his buddies}. As well as he is a tall white guy with dreadlocks & Burkinstocks looking like someone who dumpster dives @ the goodwill.

He comes back with a full bag of 'corn to go in & I asked him for his ticket.

"Dude, I don't have it dude, whoh it must be in my coat inside with my friends"

After repeating what I told him & the rest of his stonehenged group of psudohippie wannabees when they 1st got there that he cannot get back in without a ticket. {I was busy with other patrons when he left, how the hell do I know he did not have a ticket for the 12:20 show next door?}

I followed him in to the theatre to where {go figure} all of his buddies were in the front row slouched down to the point of almost sliding off the chairs freaking out about how big the picture is. I turned on my maglight while he went through all twelve of his coat pockets to make sure he was in the correct show.

Got the right ticket. I don't mind stoners. I don't mind people dressing up as freaks from a book/movie series.

I do however mind freaky stoners at a childrens show.
